Many world empires in times past have exercised it's muscle when conquering other nations. These same empires also through some dirty punches when dealing with the Jewish people.
These were mighty empires with a powerful military force that couldn't be defeated. Think
about these empires, Assyria, Egypt, Babylon, Medes-Persians, Greeks, and the Romans all
dominated the Jews and their homeland (eretz yisrael) The land of Israel. What ever happened
to these empires? where is their might and glory today? Let's take for example Egypt, at one
time Egypt was the envy of the world. She was untouchable because of her wealth, military power,
her agriculture and science. Egypt at that time as a world superpower was the most poweful
nation on earth. But as a world superpower Egypt made a fatal mistake, the slaves Egypt used
to make her empire belonged to the God of Israel. The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob watched
the Egyptians mistreat his people for some 430 years. These slaves were the Israelites, the
Jewish people, the apple of God's eye. God began to punish Egypt with ten plagues that were
so devestating. God was looking to set his people free by punishing Egypt and their false gods.
When the firstborn of every household died Pharoah said enough was enough, let the Hebrews
go. Satan, no doubt working in Pharoah's heart, Pharoah ordered a pursuit of the Hebrews in
order to destroy the Jews. God in protecting his chosen people destroyed the Egyptian army
in the Red Sea. Today, Egypt's past glory is in ruins, Egypt today has a peace treaty with Israel,
it's a cold peace. Egypt today has a ruined economy, terrorist run wild in the country, and Egypt
relies on other nations for aid. Let's take another mighty past empire, Rome. When Rome ruled
the world the Jews were treated horribly under the mighty iron fist of this dreadful empire. The
Jewish prophet Daniel describes these past empires in Daniel chapters 2 ; 7. It was Rome that
was responsible for the destruction of the Jewish Temple in 70 A.D. She used the Jews as
slaves and quenched the Jewish revolt between 66-70 A.D. Where is the glory of the Roman
empire today? It's in ruins because the Jewish people suffered under each empire, and each
empire crumbled. During WWII Adolph Hitler refered to the Jews as "subhuman parasites
that must be destroyed" Hitler and the Nazis mudered six million Jews and the Vatican was
eerily silent with no outcry. God in response destroyed Hitler and his dream of a "Third Reich".
Hitler commited suicide and the glory of Germany fell to the allies, Hitler is dead and gone, the
Jews are still here. God made it very clear in Genesis 12:3 " I will bless those who bless thee,
and curse those who curseth thee" These past empires found that out the hard way and 20th
century empires as well. That same curse is in effect today and some 21st century nations are
feeling it. Take for instance the African nations of Niger, Chad, Ethiopia, Sudan, Nigeria, what do
these Afircan countries have in common? they all broke dipolamtic relations with Israel. Because
of this all those nations are suffering from famine, drought , ethnic cleansing and civil war.
Another example would be Great Britan, great Britan was a world Empire at one time. Queen
Victoria (1819-1901) was said to be a Bible believing Christian who loved the Lord with all her
heart. She was a staunch reader of her Bible and loved the Jewish people. It seemed God was
blessing Britan because of her godly leadership. However, the curses of Genesis 12:3 came
upon Britan because of her terrible treatment of Israel during WWII. The Jews looking to escape
the Nazi ovens in Europe were turned back by the British naval forces who ruled the Holy land
at that time. Britian, once a mighty empire conquering and ruling nations, now only rules a few
small islands, and small colonies. The UK economy is in ruins, and London is being overunned
by Islam. The UK Courts now recognize Islamic law (Sharia Law) and Islam has their own court
of law in the UK. The second most popular name in London when naming babies is "Mohammed".
During WWI British naval ships were running low on gunpowder. Sir. Winston Churchill called
a Jewish Chemist named Chaim Weizmann for help. He produced 30,000 tones of synthetic
acetone to produce cordite gun powder, he became a national hero. When the British asked
him what he wanted in return for his services, he replied, " I want a national homeland for my
people" The Balfour Declaration promised a homeland for the Jewish people. However, the
Jews were doublecrossed and the British Politicians favored the Arabs because of "Black
Gold" (Oil). The Arabs were giving the best part of the land, and Jewish immigration to Israel
was limited, then stopped. Hitler began his holocaust in 1938, Jews were begging the British to retun to their own homeland, they were ignored. Finally on May 14, 1948, Israel became a nation
against all odds, Britian today is in serious trouble. Another threat to Israel today comes from
the north of Israel, and from the east of Israel, Russian and Iran. Russian is an enemy to Israel,
and is arming Israel's enemies who are sworn to her destruction. Ezekiel 38-39 record the
destruction of Russia, Iran, and an Arab coalition of nations who invade Israel in the last days.
The question we need to ask ourselves now is, what about the United States of America? God
has always blessed the US for supporting Israel. But with a new Adminstration, and President
Barak Obama's new Mid-East policies, this could very well change. Because of a shifting change
in policy with Obama, The US is calling for a "two State" solution between Israel and the
Palestinians. Obama is calling for "open dialougue" between the US and Iran without any
conditions. Obama is calling for Israel to stop building settlements in the so called "West
Bank". The policies of the Obama camp is favoring the Arabs, and is detrimental towards Israel's
security, sounds like Deja Vou all over again. And it's because of a black liquid we call "black gold"
OIL. I believe America has put herself in Jeopardy, and is in a clear line of sight of God's judgment.
In Daniel 9:27 the Antichrist will confirm a seven year peace treaty with Israel that officially begins
the tribulation. His goal will be to destroy the Jews during the last three and one half years of
the tribulation period. Jesus Christ the Jewish Messiah will return to destroy the beast and the
false prophet. The nations of the world will be destroyed when they come up against Israel by
Jesus himself. Jesus Christ will than rule from Jerusalem as his world wide capitol and
headquarters during the 1000 year millennial Kingdom. In closing, we as Bible believing Christians
must love the Jewish people. There must be a Christian revival, for Israel's survival. To love the
Jews is to love God himself, to bless the Jews is to have God's blessings. Christians today must
make their voice heard against Anti-Semitism, and hatred towards the Jewish people. Contact
your Congressman, or Senetor and tell them you are concerned about Obama's anti-Israel policies.
And above all please........Pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Ps 122:6)
